WWA teachers have already started introducing their students to the raised beds and Denver School Lunch garden. In spring 2011, Mrs. Adams’ kindergarten students planted the first seeds in the DSL garden. We’ve also heard that other teachers have brought their kids out to visit this fall. If you wish to upload photos and share your class’ experiences on the garden club blog page, contact Madeline Bechtold for a WordPress login/password.
If you have students who wish to explore gardening outside of class, be aware that WWA Garden Club is also looking at starting kids’ gardening classes. Various local organizations also sponsor kids’ gardening events (check out the local links on the Educator resources page.
